Phase I of Swedish Hospital had it’s grand opening in July 2011. Phase II of the new Swedish/Issaquah medical campus in Issaquah Highlands is expected to open a full four months ahead of schedule. Originally set to open in February 2012, Phase II will now open in November 2011.
Swedish/Issaquah is getting very close to the official opening of Phase I of the hospital and medical office building on July 9. Also opening in July are the pharmacy, Education & Conference Center, café and retail stores.
Phase II of Swedish/Issaquah includes the ICU, inpatient surgery, pediatric inpatient unit, medical/surgical inpatient unit, and labor and delivery. With the completion of Phase II, Swedish anticipates that 465 full-time hospital employees, plus 150 clinic staff and providers, will be employed in the 500,000-square-foot medical center
